How do I know if my startup idea is original?

First of all, it doesn’t matter. It really doesn’t matter if your startup idea’s original. Most of the big businesses didn’t have an original idea. The most important thing in our business is execution. I’ve said it in a lot in several videos before, I’m not gonna repeat the reasoning behind it now.

If you still want to know if nobody has a similar idea, you just Google it. Try any variations that you can think of of description of your business and Google it also.

Go on websites like Quora, Reddit and, again, use the same variation of search and see if there’s anything remotely similar to what you’re trying to do and also, obviously, you can ask on on these sites if anybody ever thought of a similar idea with you and you might be surprised of how many actually thought that would be a good business idea, but didn’t do anything about it, so no matter the idea, just do it.

Start it, create an MVP, move forward and it’s better than most of the people that already have the idea, if it’s not original.
